I don't know. To me, that looks kind of...old-fashioned. For the CTX to be a futuristic-looking motorcycle and then putting that on, with a wide-mouth at the end...

Not knocking you for doing it but it looks a little out of place for me. But as long as you like it, that's all that matters!

(Also, get ready for Cuomo to tax you on it!)

For $65 it's OK to try... It gives good sound, not too loud but deeper, unlike my other shorty, it has full size removable baffle... BTW, it looks and sounds better than Coffman and costs 3 times less! Can't go wrong with that.
P.S. Cuomo will tax mufflers? What is that Commie SOB up to?

So, after 800+ miles trip with mixed routes, mountains, forest drives, city zooms, etc... I have to say - this muffler is real good.

It delivers nice sound and a different types of sound depends where you ride... LIKE It feels like bike is alive and breathing with you...

By constantly changing exhaust tone, I know what bike will do the next moment, very informative...

Especially I like the acceleration in S mode, toward the high RPM, right before it shifts to higher gear, it delivers that nice slopping sound, not the high pitch silly crackling noise, but Harley-like slopping tunes... LIKE
At the same time, while rolling on a highway, it calms down, so no bother to my ears at all! NICE.

As to cheap baffle packing material, it's CHEAP and already has flown out :-( and I feel it gets a bit too loud and to high of a pitch, which I don't want. Good thing I already bought fiberglass packing from Amazon for $8 and will repack it soon to return sound back to nice rambling-slopping tunes... It was good buy.

You've inspired me to try am Emgo exhaust too. I just bought the reverse cone muffler. It's about 2" shorter and has permanent mechanical baffles. I'm hoping it's more quiet than the one you got. I'd also like access to the axle bolt without having to remove the exhaust. We'll see.
$57 on Amazon worth a try.

The reason I bought exhaust with removable baffles is that I can repack it with better fiberglass mats and make sound more throaty and respectable. Fiberglass packs are the key here. The exhaust without removable baffle will burn preinstalled fiberglass in 2 weeks as they're "budget" crap. And you'll be stuck with high pitch annoying sound forever after ...
