I'm hoping to be purchasing a CTX700ND within the next couple months with the Graduate Financing Program they have since I just received my degree in December. I want saddle bags and possibly a tank bag because I will be commuting often both for my job (90 Miles), and to see my parents and Girlfriend (20-180 miles). I don't want to pay for the Honda dealer installed saddle bags and I found the Tourmaster Select bags on Revzilla. I was curious if anyone has installed them on their CTX, or if you believe it would be a good set of bags to invest in for traveling. Another question I have is, if a magnetic tank bag would work on a CTX700N or if I should get the strapped version. Thanks and any opinions I would greatly appreciate.

The CTX faux tank surround is Plastic so magnetic tank bags will not work. There is several threads on the forum that address soft saddlebags that may help you.

One other thing I would suggest is be careful on the height and width of the tank bag. The CTX handlebars don't leave much room or clearance over the tank for a large bag.

check out the how to section for mounting soft saddle bags. I have an older set on my CTX and a bracket that eliminates any possibility of the wheel hitting them .

good luck
