I have read about those springs and how difficult they are to install. My HB springs were installed by a 65 years old man (not me). He just took a big screw driver and two minutes later both springs were installed! He really had practice, I knew that he can do it. I think that doing this you have to know exactly how to twist springs, but it is possible using muscles and right method.

installed my new stand today, bolted on the bike in under 5 minutes, however the spring was challenging. I found it pops right on if you use an old drum brake spring tool with a pipe over the end for more leverage (took me about 40 minutes to figure that part out however). Next problem.. I have to remove my left factory bag to get something to grab hold of to lift the bike. I have factory side bags and a Corbin seat neither leaves any edges to grab. If I take the left bag off I can use the hanger for the bag to lift up. Sort of a PITA. Otherwise the stand looks to be of very good quality.

Try putting a grab strap attached to the bike so you dont have to remove the side bag. Just my 2 cents.

I ride solo, so I removed the rear(passenger) pegs. Then I ran large carabiner through the hole that the mounting pin used to go through. The grab strap idea is good too. I wouldn't leave it on the bike as it could hang down and catch something. Maybe a detachable loop that you wrap around the rear peg mount?

You are right about that, it could get caught on something while riding. I was thinking more about a small and high enough strap that is secured and wont fall off or flap around when driving. I would guess any part of the bike that you can safely lift the bike while putting up the center stand.

One other solution would be to add the OEM passenger grab handles from the fared version. When I lift my bike up onto the stand I have my left hand on the handle bar, my left foot on the center stand foot and my right hand on the passenger grab handle. I make sure the bike is level (both center stand feet touching the ground) and then I drive my foot down with authority while simultaneously lifting on the grab handle with my right arm and it rocks right onto the stand. Plus they look really cool, they really flush out the look of the rear end with the OEM bags in my opinion kinda fills in the dead space. Have mine with a Corbin seat as well they really do make putting the bike onto the center stand a breeze. I added them to my N version before the center stand so never really gave any thought of how you would manage it without them.

I found how to use the center stand with the factory bags on. I am kinda a large guy, so this way should be easier for someone average size. I can just fit my right hand around the front bag support, then use my right foot on the stand. It then pops up easily. For me I have to bend down a bit to do this. So someone shorter should have an easier time of it. Thanks to all of you for your ideas they helped me to find the solution!

I have the factory grab handles, but I'm short, so they are too high for me to get good leverage.

My T-rex came in Wednesday and installed it Thursday. It was easy installing it, until I try to install the springs. It took me hours to install trying to figure out how I can get it in place, I have no proper tools to install the spring. After a lot of swearing and cursing, I found an easier way for me to install the spring. I have to use some nylon strings, the one they use to pull wires inside conduits, and made 2 big loops. I put one side of the loop on the end of the spring and the other other side of the loop around my foot, went down the floor and started pulling it with my foot towards the rear of the MC until I can get the spring attached to the center stand. I could have saved a lot of hours and shoulder pain if I had it done it this way. I hope this can help others trying to get their spring attached to the center stand. Be sure to use a strong enough string if you are doing it this way (wear eye protection also).

I got an email message today saying they were back in stock... Immediately checked and still out of stock. The price also appears to have gone up. Bummer. Still waiting.
Check their website again. Last night they had 5 in stock. I know that's down at least one because mine shipped today after I ordered last night.

I also ordered one yesterday, hope I get a nice day to install it here in Nebraska. Bike in the garage but not heated. One item I am looking for is the bike will take up ...maybe only by a few inches....less space in the garage sitting upright....the company must be thinking "wow" we sure are having a run on these stands!

Mine arrived Friday while I was upstate hunting. Got home Sunday afternoon and checked it out. All the parts were in the package and an inspection of the stand showed that the welds look pretty good and the powdercoating is great. It was carefully packaged as well. Now I need a warm day to install it. The shed is cramped and unheated, but if I can get a good warm Saturday to ride over to my son's climate controlled garage I'll have that puppy on there.

It's hard to believe that Honda doesn't include center stands on all street bikes, especially bikes with chain drive.
