I took the soft rubber one off and just went with the one that was the stand itself it makes the stand hike up about 3/4 of an inch higher for greater clearance. There is still plenty of room for the chain.
I haven't installed mine yet, but in preparation, I notice there is an additional round 5/8 inch-thick spacer bolted onto the stand where it mates to the rubber bumper on the bracket. The spacer is shown in the still, magnified-view shots on the sales page, but it is not there in the video. Is this designed to give more chain clearance? I'm tempted to remove it before installation to make it look like the video, but it makes me skeptical it was added for some good reason. It does look like the spacer will make the stand be not parallel to the bottom of the bike. (as was mentioned in post #19) What say you completed installers?

Like OceanicOpps said there is a strange alignment with a bumper on both parts and IMO it stuck down a little far so I removed one the stand returns nice and high that way and is no where near the chain. I saved the other bumper, as I do with all spare parts, just in case but I see no reason to ever need it. Oh and btw it goes up on the stand way easier than the effort it took dude in the video, at least for me it does. He does have it misaligned to start though with only one foot on the ground instead of having it level with both feet in contact with the ground prior to rocking it up.

thank you very much for helping me. all of you, it will be on my labor day or christmas shopping list. hopefully t-rex will have an online coupon code for labor day or christmas.
it sure does make lubing the chain and changing tires easier.

Got mine on yesterday. I was somewhat puzzled over the washers. Instructions say to put both on the right side. Video shows none at all. I put one under the right bolt. Tightening the left bolt was nearly impossible until I took the smaller part back off the frame. For the spring I put the bike up on the stand then used a #3 Phillips to slip the spring on like they do in the video, took three tries.

I finally got mine installed. Not an easy task for a 78 year old.;)
Didn't use any washers...no room on the right side. The whole unit was a tight fit but I finally got the bolts on and tight. Then came the spring install.......I finally gave up in frustration and had to call my 35 year old step-son to come help me. There is not as much space between the boss and the frame of the stand compared to the video. It took both of us about 45 minutes of cursing and prayer before we finally got it to snap on. It's on and it works but a lot more difficult than that slick video portrays.:)

Glad you got it on it was a real [email protected]#$. I watched that video at least 10 times as I was struggling with that but it is what it is. I wonder how many takes they took to get that just right one because when mine finally slipped on it wasn't unlike the video just took a lot of time and effort to get there.

T-Rex would have been my choice, it looks great and easy to install. I have Hepco et Becker and it was too difficult to get on with the OEM suspension. Now, after 20 mm lift by new a shock it works. So my two cents is here: if you have OEM shocks and height don't buy HB, but if your plan is to lift your bike consider HB. I have seen it recently somewhere at a very low price, around 150 dollars.

Thanks to the ctxforum looks like the popularity took off. Maybe they will he back in stock soon. In the mean time looks like I’ll have to spend that 150$ elsewhere
If you're having trouble finding something to spend it on, you can send it my way and I will put it to good use ;) >:)

I put myself on their waiting e-mail list for another item and they were good about notifying me.

Had mine installed today. The tech said it took two guys to get the spring on.

I've been hoisting it by grabbing the bottom of the big black triangular side plate, which is awkward and requires a good deal of muscle. The Shad 3P mounting bar seems to be in the perfect place to hoist the bike, but I'm a tad afraid to put stress on those bolts. Anybody pulling their bike onto the center stand by grabbing the Shad bar?
