I put this new thread in the "Vendors" forum to make it easy for new folks to find. There's been a lot of discussion about the development of these brackets that can be viewed on this other thread:

https://www.ctx700forum.com/forum/h...etz-design-available-grille-technologies.html

I wanted to put this thread in a logical location for newbies to know how to get to the new vendor (Grille Technologies). Their phone numbers are: 727-848-3300 or 727-233-9976. The ordering email address is [email protected]. As of September 2021, the retail price is $195.00 including shipping to wherever the US Postal Flat Rate goes. Delivery elsewhere can be arranged. The contacts at Grille Tech are Ryan or Casey Walsh.

I didn't feel up to going out today, plus Ryan has a new baby that they take into the factory, so I called and left a detailed message for him to check out.

I'll report back when I have more info.

@CTX700NQ I've had the Flu for the last 12 days or so and haven't been up on things. As I remember 114 degrees should have been the final number. Can you measure yours to confirm what you have? If you have a smartphone, there are apps you can download to get the measurment right.

I'm not yet well enough to go out and about, but I'll call Ryan today to get him involved.

BTW, is there anybody else who got their Bracketz since Jan 1st who had a similar problem?
Bob, @BobWitte, I measured it on the bracket itself and found out it is about 102 degrees, I am interested to know if other people who ordered around the same time as me, got the same problem or maybe it is just I am the unlucky one. Anyway get well soon Bob

Wow! I'll pass that on to Ryan.

I did hear from him on Friday. He had no clue that anything was amiss in the set of six pairs that yours came out of. And so far, nobody else has reported an issue. He'll check it out I'm sure and get back to you.

I'm pretty much back to normal as of yesterday. I painted up my hand guards and lowers with the black texture with gold pin striping and I'm planning on going out with my church group for the monthly ride this afternoon.

Wondering if anyone has any new info on the potential issue with bend angle. Have been holding off on ordering until any issue has been resolved.

Ryan doesn't come by here that often, so I forwarded your query to him. I'll let you know if/when I hear back.

Okay, just hung up with Ryan. He's not heard from anyone else from the 6 sets made in Jan. He's dropped off a new set of 10 pairs for bending at his vendor and has confirmed to them in writing that they are bend to 114 degrees.

Those interested in getting a set are free to put their orders in to: [email protected]. Pairs could be ready to ship this week or early next week at the latest.

I'm late to this post..but I purchased a set at the end of Jan. I've just gotten around to putting them on & YES the angle is ALL WRONG!! I've used spacers & shims to level & while I can pretty close to level they look like sh*t!! I emailed Ryan about any suggestions. I don't have the tools to bend this bracket into the correct angle. I want the bags mounted flush to the brackets.

Okay, I passed it on to Ryan as well.

@chefmateo, as you likely know by now, Ryan intends to have the vendor fix those recent Bracketz that were bent out of shape. I just wanted everybody else to know as well.

Those of you who need a repair, please get in touch with Grille Tech to arrange ( [email protected] ).

Keep in mind that it will likely be awhile before you'll get a response. Because, both Grille Tech & their vendor are shut down -- as we are all forced to practice living in a socialist economy (i.e., one that dosen't work!) 🤡

At least I know, I am not the only one. I got reply from Ryan saying he has absolutely no idea how that is possible and they were bent at the same time and all laid within each other perfectly. I guess that quality control is not something to be skimped at, it avoids rework and customer oriented. Anyway I just learn to live with it and move on...

Yes, Ryan lamented that this slipped thru and why over the years he has bought some very expensive equipment so Grille Tech and do their stuff inhouse. Knowing him as I do, I can assure you that going forward every piece will be checked every time.

Like so many other poor bastards from sea to shining sea, it could be that they can't recover from the draconian edits of the Chicken Little's that locked them out of their business as being "non-essential!"

They are 5 minutes from my house. plus I have alternate phone numbers I can try. I'll check on them and report back later this week. Here's hoping they've survived after all.

I'm pleased to report that Grille Tech is doing just fine! When Ryan called me yesterday when asked, he reported that his sales have increased during the shut down with their core products (custom car grills), but his supplier that does the computer controlled bending, may not have faired too well. Ryan has been chasing after his vendor for weeks about the re-bend fixes, but to no avail. He has I think like nine sets needing the fix, so he'll keep me informed to relay status. If "da guy" has gone belly up, maybe Ryan can pick up the specialized equipment for a song. Here's hoping!

As far as the reported "dead" emails, I tested that myself and now Ryan has his internet guy on the case. It appears that someone reported GRILLETECH.COM to one of the monitoring services and it was "marked" as as malware source. That is of course, NOT TRUE, nor ever has been. I suspect the report came from a low-life competitor (in Wu Han maybe?? o_O) Ryan said interested folks should just give them a call @727-848-3300 or 727-233-9976 and leave a message if they don't pick up.

Yes, thanks to a local vendor, Ryan owner of Grille Technologies. Drop him a note at ( [email protected] ) for current pricing and availablility.

I just tried to email him, and got a returned email back saying it's not a valid email address...
