Ok, I called my ins carrier, they have the ctx DE listed as a street/sport bike. They claim that is off the vin. I cannot remember which thread had a discussion in ins. Help please, I told them I would doing some shopping after 8 years of covering multiple bikes and maybe calling them back.

That's strange - my insurance guy said the VIN doesn't tell them info like an auto VIN. They had difficulty getting the right version initially. I took the bike to them and showed them the DCT and ABS. The ABS helped on the rate too.

The abs did show as a discount but how much it never showed. Quote was about $350 year for two fully covered bikes

TN Farm Bureau quoted me about $10 every six months more than my Piaggio BV350 scooter. I think it will be around $135 every six months. That's about an 8% increase over my mid-sized maxi scooter. Considering the original value difference between the two rides, I think they must have it listed in their data base as the tame bike that it is.
