long time lurker first time registered, i sold my old buell blast for a ctx 700n that i busted up panic braking at the bottom of my condo farm driveway due to a speeder coming from the other direction not paying attention.

luckily it was a few scratches, a footpeg, blinker and windshield that took the brunt of it besides my knee. i hairline cracked my tibia and fibula at the top under the femur. it's been over a month and i am about ready to get back on my bike!

i have since repaired things and added mid-pegs since i am a shorter rider (5,5 - 28 inseam). still looking for a color match pen for the few small scrapes.

Welcome... welcome.
I am new here as well as I just bought my 700 about a week ago. Still a bit touchy with the forward controls but I am determined to get used to them as I love the look of the bike and the amazing fuel mileage. Rode it for the first time in the rain today and was extremely, overly cautious as I hate laying down bikes. The good thing is that your okay, the bike can be fixed.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry you had a minor accident, but happy to hear you're on the mend.

From the photos of your CTX, it looks like your brake pedal is a little bent. It should be pretty easy to slip an adjustable wrench over a flat part of the brake pedal and then bend the metal back into shape.

Thanks! funny story - the pedal is easier for me with it bent like that LOL. i had considered bending it back but in the grand scheme of things it isn't super important right now.

Hey!

To be honest they both block a fair amount of air on my chest. I think the puig looks better but the MFA looks larger. I will compare and get back to you.

Temps dropping and I’m a fair weather rider so time to put the Honda away. Did an oil change and cleaned the chain before going out on our final ride of the year this past Sunday.

I recently purchased the rear luggage brackets and trex stand but they haven’t arrived yet. However racing season is around the corner.

Alright got the stand on. 10 minutes to mount 2 hours to figure out how the fuck to set the large spring. I was able to put the small spring back inside after the large one was on.

The trex video was stupid and I didn’t have a ratchet strap. I tried all sorts of fun stuff, but ultimately a friend gave me this idea with the washers when he was putting the hood springs on his old car. I was able to push the small spring in no trouble it’s just not shown in the photo.
