Seeing that Honda list it as the CTX700 is using the second generation dual clutch generation, what has been change or why? I'm interested in the dual clutch transmission but I just don't know enough about it to feel comfortable to pull the trigger.
CTX dual clutch auto will be the same (with the same motor) as on the NC700, so it's been around for at least a year.
DCT is also an option on the VFR1200, Honda may call that first generation, don't know.
Honda's dual clutch transmissions was only released a couple years ago in the higher displacement motorcycles. Now they are implementing the DCT in to smaller bikes like the NC700 which did pretty well in sale and now they are string to offer it more with their new upcoming lines except the super sports. I don't think there was much change in the two generations of DCTs, Honda didn't disclose anything at least.
