I just bought this a week ago and it is a game changer. I commute to work, and now, very rarely do I get tailgated. No wiring at all. Just recognizes down shift, braking, or any other kind of engine breaking.

Highly recommended for night rides or commuters. Price is about 160 but worth every penny. No, I have no affiliation with the sales/company, but just relaying my personal opinion.

This past Saturday, I went on a 200-mile trip on my CTX. I rode on rural, suburban, city, and mountain roads (everything except dirt!). I rode in daytime and night-time as well on all these different roads. As dusk came, I thought my headlamp was dimmer than usual. When full night came on, I realized the headlamp was burned out. 😳 Fortunately, the high beam worked, so I rode home on high beam. I can say this for sure – everyone saw me coming! 😁

Your post about the brake free helmet light made me think… what if the bulb(s) in my brake light burned out? I would never know it! Your post, then, was most timely. Thx!

When I've added extra brake lights to my bikes, I always make sure to wire them in parallel to make sure one going out won't knock out the others(s) for that very reason. Even doing a T-CLOCS check before every ride, I've had a brake light go out mid-ride and I didn't know it for a while.
