Look in your owners manual in the troubleshooting section. Its on page 105 in my manual under “ Fuel Gauge Failure Indication”. See if it is flashing the pattern pictured in the manual.

Just found the same thing, except it's page 100 in my manual (2014 model). It's not really helpful though. Basically says "Something's wrong. Visit your dealer".

Sounds like the computer might be throwing a code.
On my F6B, you count the blinks, long =10 & short =1. That number (mine was 19, 1 long, 9 shorts) means something is wrong. In my case, it was the "crank sensor."
Could the CTX show it's blinks / code through the fuel gauge? I don't know.

Just had the same problem. Flashing gauge. Had to buy a new fuel pump and of course not any pump will do, since it's somehow integrated with the computer. Approx 595.00 and install. Still waiting for Honda to send the part.

Be careful with what they're telling you. Fuel pump is not integrated with the computer (ECM/PCM). ECM/PCM controls Fuel Cut Relay circuit, as part of emergency system. Under normal operation fuel pump is powered all the time. Signal from fuel level sensor is send directly to combination meter. How to test it is described in service manual sections 7 & 22-15.

Have you tried to disconnect the negative battery post for 3-4 minutes? If the code / blink comes back, head to you dealer.
