Question Doc

I am a prehistoric 77 year old practicing doctor of chiropractic and i chose the ctx 700 to ride because of how light it is and it saves my old weak legs, and it allows me to still enjoy the motorcycle world without having to give it up. My favorite is still the gold wing, but my fear is in the loss of strength in my legs and worry about keeping it up right with the heavy weight. All in all i enjoy the ctx and it suffices to keep me riding. I do have one question------anyone perhaps know where i might be able to locate two red saddle bags for a 2017 ctx ?

Welcome Doc. I'm 78, but I retired at 76. My arthritic knees love the forward peg position, but I needed to add a Corbin standard seat to accommodate my broad backside. Love the CTX, the DCT, and its weight. Hope you can find your red bags. Enjoy the forum, and ride safe.

Easy, rob a liquor and use the proceeds to order a set from your Honda dealer!!

Was looking at a white version of this for my bike. Don't know if I like the look or not.

Welcome Doc, I am 70 years old. My ankle tendons are permanently damaged by fluoroquinolones. I installed a new rear shock and found out more advantages. I am over 6 feet tall and raised the saddle height by one inch. It helped me to achieve more steady position in traffic lights etc. with more straightened legs. I can recommend this for all tall riders.

77yo here, I still ride my GW F6B more than my CTX but I know there'll be a time when I'll need to go to the CTX full time. Doubt if I'll ever do the trike thing.

Not sure if you know this but the "red" saddlebags are saddlebags with red side panels. If you can find a set of used Honda CTX700 saddlebags you can buy new red panels for about $120 and swap them out.

Also might want to check the discussions about them on this forum. Many of us think they look cooler in the marketing photos than they are practical in real life compared to other saddlebag options.
