Still waiting for fuel pump

Still waiting after two weeks for Honda to send a fuel pump to the dealer. Seems there has been a rush on fuel pumps (CTX) not sure why but beginning to wonder if they have been failing nationwide. Seen others on the site also having fuel pump irregularities.

Saw a few post where bad gas was a culprit. I try to use nothing but the 91 octane non ethanol in everything if my local station has in stock.

There are pumps available aftermarket, but it is just the pump and not the whole unit. I guess it's an option if your only problem is the pump itself and not the level sensor, just take the unit apart and replace the pump, they run about $69, just putting the information out there

Do you have any way of knowing if you inadvertently got E-85 ethanol gas, causing the problem/"meltdown"? Good luck going forward.

A good thing to remember is that the fuel in the tank cools the pump. Try to keep the fuel level from getting to low causing an early death for the pump.

For the pump it does not matter what kind of liquid it pumps, if only the liquid's density is similar. But that matters to the fuel injectors and the engine.

The pump is not just a pump but has a chip in it that reports back to the computer. If it were that simple to replace with a simple pump it would be nice, but as you know the CTX is heavily computerized. Perhaps a good and bad thing.

There is E85 and E15 entering into the states. They are suppose to report the type on the pump clearly, but just as in the past when gas was diluted some are not so open. State weights and measures are suppose to check, but can't be everywhere.
