Buying a used 2014 CTX700ND, need help with price check

I am going to buy a used 2014 CTX700ND with 11k miles. The asking price is $4k. Is it a good price for it?

I paid $4100 for a 2015 faired DCT with less than 300 miles on it. $4000 sounds high for that mileage. Are there any accessories installed?

I would say 3400-3600$ cash offer. Oem bags maybe 3800-4000$

There is only one MOD with the windshield. Also there are no paper works for the maintenance done for these many years. I am worried if I will have to do the high cost maintenance that may be due by 11 or 12 k miles. What is the schedule? How do I find it?

I would guess the estimated cost of having the engine and trans oils and filters changed, chain adjusted, air filter changed, valves adjusted, brakes checked and fasteners checked for torque would run you easily 400-500$

Thank you. I found another deal but at a hour and a half drive with $4k for 3000 miles for 2014 CTX700ND . The owner seems to have other toys so not interested in this one. No MODs. When I asked about the maintenance, he told it is still in break-in period so none done. Is this a good deal?

First service should be done at 600 miles.

A lot depends on the competition in your general location. Search Craig’s list and Cycle Trader to get an idea what they are going for within a reasonable traveling distance. I think $4000 is reasonable if its in perfect running condition. The maintence schedule recommends an oil change at 600 miles on break in. Also if the shop that sold the bike did not flush and fill the brake fluid the fluid could possibly be over five years old. If the bike has been sitting for long periods unused with half a tank of gas with ethanol in it make sure to look in the gas tank for any evidence of corrosion. Humidity and condensation inside the tank over time could corrode the fuel pump.
Ethanol gasoline is hygroscopic (will absorb water) and can absorb 50 times more water than conventional non-alcohol gasoline. - Phase separation occurs in E10 gas, when only 0.5% water or 3.8 teaspoons water per gallon of fuel is absorbed”.
