Winter tinkering!

A few years back I tried to order the MRA windscreen from Twisted Throttle for my CTX700N. The shipment got held up by a port crisis and I eventually gave up and cancelled my order. I then tried a Puig windscreen which I quickly moved to my motorbike. I then bought a Puig Universal Touring II windscreen which I have been happy with, but now it's winter and I am tinkering. This week I will be receiving the MRA, which takes me back to 2015! I like the look and soon I'll report back about how it works, looks and more importantly how the install worked. The MRA PDF install file says the package should include all items necessary to install, we shall see!

I installed this one on my wifes ctx. I get a little helmet buffeting from it especially at highway speeds but she doesn't. I am fine with the buffeting around town, but definitely wont be doing any day trips on it unless she needs me to. I'm 5'9" and she is 5'6" for reference.

Jimmy, this looks very similar to the Puig New Generation screen I started with. See it on my avatar. It will allow more wind than your touring II screen. It was too much wind for me, so I moved to the touring windscreen. Depends on how much protection you need. Let us know how you like it.

Ride safe.

My MRA windscreen arrived this a couple days ago. Yesterday I removed the Puig windscreen and installed the MRA unit. I will have an install video online by tomorrow!

I watched your Youtube video on the windshield swap. I have the Puig naked windscreen made specifically for the CTX700n. It attaches in the same way your new MRA attaches. To the bar riser clamps. I really like that method rather than the universal type bar clamp. I think your MRA is a bit shorter than the dedicated Puig windscreen. here is a pic of mine installed

I don't remember seeing that Puig. I appears pretty similar. As you know, I did finish the install and here is the link to my video of the install and the ride after! Thanks for the comments!

Do a new after install video with actual riding in the video.
would like to see where wind hits the chest head real time at various speeds.
and I think I agree with you about the looks.
better than the old windshield.
sleeker.
more like a Naked bike.
good look

Make sure to put something over your dash display when parked. The Puig is notorious for their lensing of the sun and frying displays...

I took the bike out for a better road test yesterday. I did about a 30 mile loop with city speeds to 70+ on the highway. Unfortunately I had my 3/4 helmet on which is always more noisy, but it was only slightly more than the Bell Revolver EVO helmet. The wind was a bit more than the the Puig, but comfortable. I used my hand to feel the wind flow which kept it off my chest and put it towards the top of my helmet. It was a crazy winter day here with 70 degree temps, but a perfect summer test in the winter! You know bikers, looks can mean more than function sometimes, so it's a keeper for me even if it's a bit more wind!

thanks. I did get the smoke screen with that in mind thinking that it would cut some of the sun
