Here is a 1982 Honda CM450. I bought it for 250 bucks.
When my son-in-law returned from a tour in Afghanistan i bought this for him and me to work on. He sat on one side wrenching and i sat on the other. If he wanted to talk, he would. It took almost 2 years to finish, and to puke it all out. It is a terrible place, Afghanistan.
Anyway, we worked on this for my 4th daughter. He is married to my 2nd daughter. He was doing ok until his daughter was born. Then all the ghosts from his deployment started eating at him.
We first finished my 1982 Yamaha XV920RJ. It had not been started in 20 years and i bought it while he was overseas. I was almost finished with it when he returned.
It helped, so i found the little Honda. Great therapy, working with your hands.
We rebuilt a 1983 Yamaha Virago 750 and got a 1983 Virago 500 back on the road. We have them all. Each for my two son-in-laws.
We get to ride together often.
like i said, great therapy.............
