If I take the side cover loose to do this, I may run a split of brake, running, and turnsignals up and out to attach to later so I don't have to take it apart again.
You can wire the light to work as both a running and break light with an electrical wiring mod.
This info was posted in another thread and I saved the link to the wiring, planning on giving it a try at some point.

I hope you get the rack. I had one on order for about a month, but cancelled to mount my stuff a different way. I'd been told the racks were on back order (because of shipping issues on the west coast) but they would be in stock mid-April.

Crossing fingers you get your stuff and can start enjoying the riding season

Hello, John (JFC), I'm embarrassed to ask but I will since I'm not having luck finding an answer. Simple question, I think. I'm interested in using a Posi-Tap for connecting the brake light wiring on my new Bestem 929 top case, and I just can't figure out which "gauge" of Posi-Tap is best for that particular wiring. Do you happen to know if it is their "16-18 gauge" Posi-Tap, or some other gauge? I really appreciate it, if you happen to know the proper gauge. Kind regards, Mike.

Hello mikerider, I believe the Bestem wiring is 22ga. and the Honda OEM wiring is 18 - 20ga. I prefer to solder and heat shrink my connections but you should be okay with Posi-Tap that will fit 18ga wire.
